Meaningful momentum for the Captain Francis A. Hendry House Preservation Project!

LaBelle Downtown Revitalization Corporation is proud to share that we have been selected by APA Florida for its Community Planning Assistance Team program. Through this opportunity, a volunteer team of professional planners will work with our community to help identify practical next steps, preservation strategies, and future possibilities for this important historic property.

Building on the recent recognition of the Captain Hendry House as one of Florida's 11 to Save, this selection is another important step toward bringing the project to fruition. Together, these milestones help strengthen the path forward and bring valuable attention, expertise, and support to the preservation effort.

LDRC is also actively exploring additional funding opportunities and partnerships to support the long-term preservation and future use of the Captain Hendry House.

As this process moves forward, we look forward to hearing from the community about how this historic property can best serve LaBelle while honoring and preserving its story.

The Captain Hendry House is more than a building. It is a piece of LaBelle's history, and each step forward brings us closer to protecting it for future generations.
